Hummel not playing, he is good at all phases of the game so we lose it all.
2. lack of ability to guard the dribble, this includes Kramer, Jackson, Grant, and Moore (to a lessor degree at aOSU) and has gone on all year. I don't know how we get the FG % defense we do cause it seems all the good teams beat us off the dribble. So Mullens shoots almost 100%, all dunks went in and his one shot missed. Buford got started early on kick outs after help collapsed on the dribbler
3. befuddled trips against the zone. We got some really good passes into Johnson but too many trips were passing around the edges until someone (Grant usually) jacks up a contested 3 as time runs out
4. no offensive rebounds, due to 3 or 4 guys standing on the perimeter and then watching the shot instead of crashing
5. lack of depth, we only play 8, 7 when Hummel is out. We were gassed at end of regulation and OT
6. end of regulation lack of leadership and/or coaching. We had time to get it into somebody's hands besides Jackson, we're in front of our bench so I'd rather see Moore or Grant take it to the hoop. Moore is the best at hitting the shot Jackson put up, Grant can hit that too. Jackson is getting better at finishing if he is still moving like a layup but his pull up J from the lane is always a shot put, no touch, no spin, he doesn't have that shot yet. Now, he did get fouled on his shooting arm as he split the defenders, no call. But, lets give it to someone who can hit a shot if he has to.

Green trying to force things while down with the f...

Green trying to force things while down with the flu doesn't help either. we needed him on the boards last night, not from downtown.

just smarter overall play without hummel is key to winning these close games. He seems like a headcase shooter. If one thing goes wrong, then everything goes wrong.

As for Jackson, defensively he may be more hesitant after getting his bell rung by Krabbenhoft, just as Kramer was more hesitant offensively after getting knocked out at Clemson. First being his 'travel' 4 minutes into the game. We stole the ball on the inbounds and could've been up 13-2 at that point if he would've just shot the wide open 3. Instead he hesitates and double clutches which i guess is just as good as a travel (because that's what hightower called).

The other was early in the 2nd half, Grant got a WIDE open look. So open that he paused just a bit too long and missed horribly off the side of the rim (or that might've been his air ball). After that shot, he missed 6 or 7 straight until his big hit at the end to pull within 2.

Two freak plays that really affected his mental game.

Just a few notes I thought needed to be said.
