Feel free to stop by and comment during the game's ESPN2 broadcast tonight. I'll be here commenting along with you. BOILER UP!!!!!
Also, we're not all about basketball here at Off the Tracks. I actually am a big fan of the NHL, even though there isn't a team anywhere near here. For those of you out in Denver that are Avalanche fans There is a great place for you to pick up some Pepsi Center Tickets. If you're a New York Islanders fan though I pity you. be sure to pick up some Nassau Coliseum tickets and buy a beer to drown your sorrows as you remember the great Islanders teams of the 80's
For my readers out in L.A. you know how hard it is to get Staples Center tickets, especially with the Lakers doing so well. After all, you can't get seats from Jack every night. If you want tickets with hsi Departed co-star Marky-Mark be sure to look for some Gillette Stadium tickets.

Much better start than at Penn State or Northwestern. unfortunately our only mistake gave them 3 points.
JaJuan is playing very strong so far, but free throws had better not be our issue tonight.
That is a textbook way to attack a 2-3 zone. Good job Keaton. Robbie had a very nice cut as well.
First TV timeout: I do like what I have seen so far. We have brought a much better defensive intensity than in past road games. We've just got to hit our free throws.
From Mrs. T-Mill about the Bobby Knight bench segment: Well, it's hard for Bobby to through that whole bench.
That was an ugly shot by E'Twaun, but it counts all the same.
How is that not a travel? Ed Hightower as our official ladies and gentlemen.
nolen is trying to do too much for them and we're doing a great job of defending him from creating anything. Let's keep it up guys. 2nd TV timeout.
I just love E'Twaun's ability to shoot off the dribble
Jackson as early game MVP anyone?
After calling every foul at Northwestern these officials are letting them play tonight.
Credit to Minnesota: they are not giving up anything easy in the paint. I like Kramer getting aggressive and going tot he hole there, but it was a very good defensive play.
That was probably the best first half we have played on the road all year. We're hitting shots when we need to LewJack is controlling the offense very well. E'Twaun is hot too. let's keep it up.
I don't like JaJuan taking shots from outside ten feet, but if he can hit them it makes us that much more dangerous.
I'll say this right now: This it not Chally's best game. He looks lost out there.
First second half TV timeout: Now is not the time to start calling the ticky-tack stuff stripes...
Both teams are a little out of control at the moment.
BEAUTIFUL SEQUENCE!!!!!! Good save by Marcus, huge three by Keaton. The next possession we even had a Calasan sighting!
I am really blown away. I haven't commented much because we're playing one of our most complete games of the season. It is fun to watch. We've comepletely taken their crowd out of it.
Oh crap. We don't need another injury right now.
12 points is a new career high for Mr. Lewis Jackson
3 second violation? Is that still a violation in Division 1?
104 seconds. Just defend for 104 seconds.
Hit your free throws and this game is over. Let's do this. I love how it is deathly quiet there.
Nobody else commented? Well, I found this is good to read when working late. All I can see is the box score, and it looks like we could still work on FTs a bit. Good to read we did something against the zone.
More people will delurk/drop by next time. Well, they better.
What's your opinion of the refs? The rivals board seems to be upset about them. If they've been that bad, this makes this win even better.
Just like Andrew, I wanted you to know you're not just talking to yourself. Thanks for keeping those of us not within sight of a tv informed.
I will say this: This was our most impressive win of the season. Great job by everyone. More on the game wrap tomorrow.
Looking forward to reading the wrapup.
The refs weren't bad at all. I think folks were overreacting. There were some bad calls, but you'll have those every game. I do thank you for reading. I apologize for not commenting more, but This was just too fun to watch. Short game summary:
- Fantastic game by LewJack. He controlled the game in all aspects.
- JaJuan is going to be the MVP of this team in the very near future. If everyone else can score around him so he doesn't become the focus of defenses we will be nearly unstoppable.
- Minnesota couldn't throw the ball in the ocean tonight.
I'd like to add that Bob Knight is very good at color commentary... great insight, which doesn't surprise anyone, but he is concise and not opinionated and he even makes Brent Musberger good!
Vitale, Packer and Rafftery could learn a lot from Coach Knight; of course Bob Knight knew more about basketball 25 years ago than these 3 guys combined know about it now! Yeah, I know Packer retired.
I never thought I would think or say this about a Big East game (or Brent Musberger), but I may just watch the UConn-ND game because I really am interested in what Bob Knight and Brent Musberger have to say. And no, I haven't been drinking.
Travis, if you don't stop picking against Purdue, I'm going to knee you in the beans the next time I see you.
Thanks for the follow-up. It sounds like a lot of the things we'd been worried about for the past month are coming together. Hope they can keep it together at Wisconsin.
And you posted more than enough, without much support.
