Not good, 3 boards already for Griffin and a 3-point play on an offensive rebound
You can't leave E'Twaun Moore that open!
1st TV timeout. Oklahoma is too quick for us right now. We're not securing the ball on what should be easy rebounds. Our own shots need to start falling. Blake Griffin is everything as advertised.
Lavin: Purdue is completely out of sync offensively. No truer words after three straight turnovers.
Too many threes this early. How are we this close? We're getting totally outplayed.
Come on Keaton, you know better. They call the chicken wing like that all the time.
Very nice jumper there LewJack, up 1 now, 8:55 left
Good ball fake and short jumper by Robbie. That's just a great play.
MONEY!!!!!!
E'Twaun just capped a 16-3 run with a hand in his mouth triple. 7:20 left in the first half up 23-17
File that LewJack 3 under "bonus points" because we don't expect him to hit 3-pointers as much as our other shooters. He's playing well, from a shooter's perspective.
Welcome to the Game, Nemanja Calasan!
His two 3 pt attempts aside, Calasan is getting the job done: a couple nice assists, some defensive rebounds, some physical play against Griffin. And, oh my, he just hit a 3.
city,
I like this guy a lot. He is far from perfect, but damnit he works hard!
Did Oklahoma seriously just tip that 3 in?
Although I wish KG wasn't on the bench with foul trouble, I also like that LewJack's getting a shot here. The more experience he gets in high-pressure situations the better.
Forgotten halftime notes: i had a phone call) Does everyone agree Chally and LewJack were the players of the first half? LewJack had some big shot and Chally does a little bit of everything.
come on guys, we're rushing shots now. Get out of the locker room.
ugh, terrible start to the second half
Credit where credit is due, that is nice fake by Warren and he is owning us right now.
KG an E'Twaun are keeping us alive 3 points at a time.
T-Mill, I'll agree on Calasan and say that LewJack was the player of the last 8 minutes or so.
So far this half, I like LewJack's intense defense. He's putting good pressure on the ball handler without fouling.
And holy cow, our shooting suddenly appears!
"Will the defender on Lewis Jackson please pick up your jock strap."
Who needs 2 point baskets? Theya re so 1950.
JJ looks more confident this half. That turnaround was pretty.
Game update, with 6:26 left Blake Griffin has 13 points, 14 rebounds and we are dead even team-wise on the glass. I count this as a win.
Why are you taking that shot, Chally?!
Our last several possessions have ended in ill-advised shots-- Calasan's 3, Grant's midrange jumper, LewJack's floater. We're getting no favors from the officials either, so every offensive possession has to count.
WAY TO FIGHT FOR THAT CHALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Moore and Calasan both come up big!
Hummel fouls out with 10 points. That's just great
timeout? um, okay! Big rebound by Chally, now we can hold for the last shot. Good call. I guess. we're about 31 seconds from erupting in my apartment.
Nemanja and JJ both with 4 fouls. There's a lot to be nervous about going into this OT.
City,
Chally doesn't care. He's been a beast on the offensive glass today. Big jumper from him a second ago.
Agreed, he's looking solid. Good start to the OT, before those last two bad possession.
We fouled the short white kid. there is no way he misses these free throws
...and they barely touch net
Great win for the Sooners, we blew it.
Tough loss. Smarter offensive possessions in the last half of OT would have helped. The offense has a tendency to stagnate from time to time, and this time it bit us. Time to get up for Duke.
46-5 free throw advantage for OU
Pretty hard to overcome that
